Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV) is primarily transmitted in Indiana by mosquitoes in the genus Coquillettidia. People infected with EEEV can develop severe inflammation in the brain.
An aerial re-spraying is schedule for tonight, October 3, 2019; to more effectively kill the mosquitoes, protecting human and animal health.
Flu vaccine is recommended for everyone over the age of 6 months.
